Volunteer Environmental Educators Training

DRBA is holding a Volunteer Environmental Educators (VEE) Training for new volunteers on Monday, February 17th from 1-3PM in the Summerlin Room at the Henry County Administration Building.
Space is limited and you must RSVP to attend. To start the process of becoming a VEE, follow the link below to complete the online application. Once the application is completed and you have attended the in-person training, a background check will be completed. For questions, contact Krista Hodges at khodges@danriver.org.

A key priority at DRBA is to educate youth and adults about the importance of the environment and our natural surroundings. Volunteering allows people of all ages and backgrounds to share their enthusiasm for nature and our local environment!
As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to:
- Help with hands-on programs and educational activities
- Help at special events
- Support the Volunteer Environmental Education program with volunteer coordination, recruitment, training, and other administrative projects
- Deepen your knowledge about the Dan River Basin
- Receive free volunteer training and continuing educational experiences
- Be part of a team known for its strong sense of community and hands-on education programs
